I dream a world where the love between a man & a woman is sacred and beautiful that it is healing & soothing. . Where in my world a man’s touches are warm and gentle. Children grow up with loving fathers. Where men look out for little ones, women, and all elders. I dream that women can feel safe without fear of being beaten, raped, or killed. . And a child can still have a childhood and just simply be a kid. 1. How does this poem make you feelThis poem makes me feel special but i still have that emotion loss and grief because of what the indigenous people went through. 2.does this poem create a special feeling or mood.this poem creates a mood that just makes you stop and think why did the people of Australia treat these people the way they were treated. 3.what do you think is the meaning of this poem The meaning of this poem to me is hope because even at worse times in our life there is always a sign of hope for each other and to me that is what poems is saying the hope that this world can change and our lives could be so much better if we all treated everyone equally and respected each other’s values and differences.

Were we are going

Combine comments on its theme, title and conclusion

The Aboriginaies lived pieceful, quiet and happy lives before the invasion.
The white men are represented by ants because the europeans were all in a rush running around everywhere.
Bora ring means Australian Aboriginal sacred ground. Because the Aboriginies were so close with the land.
The Aboriginies felt they had become strangers but really it was the in vaders who were the strangers
The effect produced from the litany is a strong series message to the white in-

the metaphors in this poem help help to bring more meaning to it and it helps embrace the poem, eg. A semi-naked band subdued and silent
the poem is written as a ballet to me it was written in poem form but is a strong message to the white people.
Thunderer has a capital letter because that way it could stand out in the line and that the word means something.
Theres both a series and silent mood in this poem with the opening a soft gentile script but as it gets to the middle and end of the poem it becomes series because the aborignies show that there way of living is the right way of livingWe belong here, we are of the old ways.

I love the language that is used by the aboriginies in this poem and the way it is written by them and the words they used was perfect with the mood and meaning of the poem.

Evaluate your contribution to the group and your own work ethic? Well my group is doing really well and goin smoothly and i rekon we can do really well in this project and for each other and my work ethic is good but i have to stick with the group abit more and we will get a A+.

What did you find your strengths and weaknesses where? My strenghts were g and me weakneses were nothing. Except for some of the stuff like h/w and tannuj.

which part of the exposition are you responsible for? Iam responsible for the thesis of the exposition.

What supplementary material are you using to back up your thesis points (your argument): Iam using videos, books and alot of the interent and some of my knowledge in the thesis point or my argument in this project, because of the knowledge of the interent and books.

What is an exposition?the act of expounding, setting forth, or explaining: the exposition of a point of view.

What is a thesis point? A thesis statement declares what you believe and what you intend to prove. A good thesis statement makes the difference between a thoughtful research project and a simple retelling of facts.

A good tentative thesis will help you focus your search for information. But don’t rush! You must do a lot of background reading before you know enough about a subject to identify key or essential questions. You may not know how you stand on an issue until you have examined the evidence. Are you happy with your groups progress so far in the project? Well I must say but iam not really that happy with my group’s progress because the draft copy we have not even started yet and iam not happy because no work is being done and we really need to get good marks for this project and the subject so thats why iam not really happy but everything YES!.
Who is not pulling their weight and what do u think needs to happen? Tanuj, because well he is not doing any work in the group unlike me iam doing a lot of work and jonothan but tanuj he does work but nfot as much as a lot of the people in our group, so thats who I say and what I think needs to happen is that he has to go and have ameeting with the teacher and he has/she has to tell him what is he doing wrong and what has to be done and pull his weight thats what I think.

Well when the PM Said sorry there was alot of celebration after it occured they all celebrated, and there was alot of talk aroung in the news and in the community.

Here is a little example of Day of Mourning Protest (26 January 1938) -

In October 1937 the Fergusen and Patton wings of the Aborigines Progressive Association joined forces with William Cooper’s Australian Aborigines League to unite behind Cooper’s call for a Day of Mourning on Australia Day 1938 (the sesqui-centenery of British settlement). The united front began an intense and dramatic campaign of public speeches, support meetings and press interviews. The campaign ultimately forced the NSW Premier to set up a Select Committee to inquire into the policies and administration of the NSW Aborigines Protection Board.

The Day of Mourning and Protest on 26 January 1938 the celebration of 150 years of ‘theft and genocide’. The Australian Aborigines League called on white Australia: ‘You took our land by force … You have almost exterminated our people, but there are enough of us remaining to expose the humbug of your claim, to be civilised, progressive and humane.’ AAL President William Cooper declares 26th of January a ‘Day of Mourning’.

At the Day of Mourning Congress on 26 January 1938, Jack Patten, as President of the Aborigines’ Progressive Association, announced: “The conference is called to bring home to the white people of Australia the frightful conditions in which the native aborigines of this continent live. We ask for full citizen rights, including old age pensions, maternity bonus, relief work when unemployed, and the right to a full education for our children.”

The Day of Mourning protest in 1938 is regarded as one of the most important moments in the history of the indigenous resistance in the early 20th Century.

today in social studies i am goin to learn alot and iam going to word on my project and i hope that we can go along way in my and our groups project and the subject that we are in and i wish that we are goin to get a good mark in out project and in my individual mark. I really like this subject that we are going i always liked the subject english because i really like reading books espicially fantasy books like the movie Eragon and Lord of the rings the trilogy, so thats why i really like the subject and the topic Fantasy.
